Log Pet Beds

Our beds are designed to provide your pet with a sturdy, comfortable resting place of their own while adding character to your decor.

These Montana made pet beds are derived from native Douglas Fir, Western Larch and Lodgepole Pine. Trees are selected from fuel reduction projects where areas are being thinned to lessen the risk of fire damage. Marketable timber is milled. The remaining tops are selectively gathered for useable bed building material. The fresh cuts are bought home and hand peeled to dry naturally leaving predominately blonde colors. Standing dead timber produces a darker look.

About Our Beds

Each log is left with all of its natural characteristics, providing each bed a unique, rustic look.

  • All unions are hand fitted and hand chiseled and assembled with professional strength wood glue and Timberlok ® log screws in the rails.

  • Bottom slats are routered into the bottom rails allowing ventilation of the bed cushions.

Our Pet Beds are elevated to help minimize the effects of arthritis and hip and back problems, prevalent in some larger breed dogs (such as Great Pyrenees), by allowing their bodies to remain on a fairly even plane while laying down and getting up.

The pet cushions are filled within a mixture of polyester fiber, crushed foam, and cedar chips. Crushed foam helps to fill in the cushion more firmly than polyester alone. The cedar chips help keep the bed fresh while acting as a flea and tick repellant. A layer of orthopedic foam is placed between the inner pillow and the removable outer cover, providing a firm even support of the cushion. Sizes are 22 x 30 and up.

Beds 10 x 15 through 15 x 25 have cushions made from layers of orthopedic foam wrapped in batting covered with an outer fabric. This gives our smaller pets a plush surface to bed with a more firm base.
